How to Toast Walnuts

The bottom line is that you have to eat a lot of calories to build muscle. Most guys undereat and then complain about not being able to build muscle. They don't get stronger, they don't get bigger, but they just keep working out and spinning their wheels.

Cut a sugar or pie pumpkin in half. (Some thin-walled pumpkins are stringy and not as good for baking.) Remove the seeds. Place the halves in a baking pan, flesh side down with 3/4-inch of water in the pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees or until the flesh is tender. (For small quantities, you can cook the pumpkin in the microwave.)

Carefully break each egg into the water and cook for about three minutes. Remove them using a slotted spoon or spatula. I always have a wad of paper handy on which I briefly rest the spoon to drain off any excess water before transferring the egg to the plate.

People who are more sensitive can have alternatives which can substitute meals or snacks. They are also provided with the choice to select among meal plans that average between 1,500 calories and 1,300 calories. Three weeks into the Flavor Point Diet, the dieters are rewarded with choices of weekly indulgence on forbidden foods like chocolate or coconut which are themed with recipes having 1,500 calories a day.

Start learning how to eat to lose weight by using a smaller dinner plate. It may seem hard to believe but psychologically this will make you feel like you have eaten more and has the additional benefit of naturally helping you to cut down on portion sizes.

When you awaken each morning, I recommend drinking a liter of water and do not eat or drink anything else until at least an hour later. Then you can eat a good healthy breakfast such as toast with a fruit spread, banana and herbal tea. Better yet, start your day with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. It is best not to eat any cooked food before lunch. Give your stomach a break and start your day with light easy to digest food.

Another food that you must consume for healthy weight loss is fat. Again, this does not mean any and all fat. Processed and refined vegetable oils, such as margarine and many cooking oils, are out of the question.Healthy fats, such as the kind found in whole eggs, walnuts, salmon, and flax seed, are all good for you. Need something to cook with? Use organic coconut oil or olive oil. Need something to put on your toast? How about real butter? You can eat all those things and still lose weight.

You can use whole nuts, chopped nuts or even powdered nuts in salad recipes, depending what kind of flavor and texture you are after, how you want the salad to look and whether the nuts are being used for flavor or simply as a garnish. Walnut halves are often used as a garnish but peanuts are usually used to enhance the salad's taste.
